Every week non-perishable groceries donated by CTK parishioners are taken to EChO, Evergreen Senior Resource, St. Anthony of Padua in Denver, and Loaves & Fishes in Idaho Springs to support their food banks and senior services. During Lent the Knights of Columbus added a supplemental program called “40 Cans for 40 Days” that increases donations by a hundredfold. Parishioners bring food and place in baskets in the vestibule. Volunteers pick it up weekly and deliver to the designated food bank of the week. This program has been in place for over 20 years.
