Per Archdiocesan instruction to all parishes, both parents in their role as “first and best teachers to their children the ways of the Faith are required to attend a baptism preparation class. Additionally, godparents (Catholic in good standing) are required to take the prep class.
- Baptisms cannot be scheduled until after the sacramental preparation has been received.
- It’s best if parents attend this session before the birth of the child.
